Case Study: Search Engine Listing Problem

      Problem:
A midwest urban b-boy group had developed their website using a click and build web development product.  The website content provided a means to communicate with their fans and potential promoters, however, it was not listed on any of the major search engines and fans could not find them.
Initial attempts to rewrite the meta and title tags would prove unsuccessful due to the web host's policy and design of user accessibility into the html parts of the code.  This site, also done in flash, provided an additional challenge since flash prevents the search engine spiders from indexing deeper into the page and the website content and sub pages.

      Solution:
After determining that we could not modify via ftp any of the html code in the current website, staff professionals submitted the home page as is to the major search engines with a rapid indexing service that had channel partners into the major search engines.
Cultural Marketing Communications professionals created a temporary solution using a "news" page that could be found by the search engines using appropriate keywords, including band members names.
